Ben Kaufman

Ben Kaufman is currently working with his father in his family-run business, Kaufman Realty. Ben's specialties are healthy green homes and homes which enhance a sense of community located in the Puget Sound area. Ben has a broad real estate background with professional experience in development, commercial land appraisal, sales and an urban planning degree from the University of Washington. Having studied green building and innovative community development for over 10 years, Ben has made numerous site visits to sustainable community developments in Europe, Australia and throughout the northwest. Mr. Kaufman has also completed a Permaculture Design Certificate, and is trained in consensus decision-making, dispute resolution, and group facilitation. Ben currently also serves as a board member on the Northwest Intentional Communities Association, and the Business Alliance for a Local Living Economy Seattle Chapter. Recent activities include co-founding a 3-day 600-person conference on sustainable community development, real estate consulting, and realty sales in the Puget Sound region.
