Fiona Douglas-Hamilton

Fiona is an owner of Apple Construction LLC, dba Apple Homes, a general contracting company based in Rainier, east of Olympia, WA. Born and raised in Europe, her experience in construction spans twenty years, and has ranged from project managing, the construction of hospices and large commercial nursing homes in England, to hands-on custom residential building and high-end custom residential finish work in the Pacific Northwest. A life-long passion for organic gardening, sustainable farming methods and the outdoors created the foundation for her commitment to employing the principles of the Built Green movement within residential construction. Fiona continues her study of energy and resource efficient building methods and viable alternative heating methods through the custom production homes Apple builds. Fiona advocates a practical and inclusive, rather than exclusive, approach to sustainability.
