The Inland Chapter of Northwest EcoBuilding Guild invites members, interested in helping lead the organization, to apply for the Chapter Board of Directors’ candidacy. This is an opportunity to contribute to the strength and vitality of the sustainable building community throughout our region. Candidates with abilities ranging from executive leadership, financial management, policy and organizational development, to information technology, graphic design, and marketing are especially sought. Please send a statement of interest and a resume or brief biography to julietsinisterra@yahoo.com. Your nomination must be received by July 2, 2010.
Voting ballots for the 2010 Elections will be sent out July 12th via email with a deadline for return no later than July 16th. Newly appointed Directors will start their term at the July 24th Regional Board Meeting.

Following are Chapter Board Positions now open:
Chapter President:
• Provide representation at the majority of Inland events. Make announcements at these events as necessary
• Support efforts to build partnerships with organizations having similar missions and values
• Conduct monthly Steering Committee Meetings. Keep meetings focused and moving
• Guide the organizational development of the Steering Committee
• Allocate tasks of vacant Steering Committee posts to committee volunteers
• Help identify (with the entire Steering Committee) potential new members for the Steering Committee.
• Represent Chapter at one Board event and Report to Regional Board.
Secretary/Treasurer:
• Keep financial records for the chapter
• Provide a treasurers report at each steering committee meeting
• Maintain contact with Regional Treasurer
• Coordinate grant recode keeping as needed
• Deposit donations generated from events
• Take notes at all Steering Committee meetings
• Upload meeting minutes to website
• Recap Action Items at end of meeting
• Send out Action Items within 48 hours of Meeting
• Maintain Committee structural documents
• Represent Chapter at one Board event and report to Regional Board.
Programming/Events Coordinator:
• Lead development and planning of Green & Solar Home Tour, Earth Day, Spokane County Fair, Greenwashing Events, Home & Garden Show
• Work with partner organizations on planning and execution of events
• As appropriate, place announcements on Facebook page, Twitter account and in publications/websites of other organizations (i.e. OutThere; Spokesman Home Section; Inlander)
• Work with Membership/Volunteer coordinator to realize these special events
• As necessary, provide content, topics, speaker selection, announcement PDF for events
• As necessary, emcee or provide announcement at event
• If necessary, do or delegate the set up and clean up of the event space
• Write Thank You notes to speakers and sponsors as needed
• Represent Chapter at one Board event and Report to Regional Board.
Membership & Volunteer Coordinator:
• Maintain a list of all people wishing to become involved with Chapter. Provide the volunteers contact info to Speaker Series, events and Tour Leads
• Respond to volunteer inquires by emailing them a short list of opportunities and link to upcoming event
• Maintain contact with Regional Membership Coordinator
• Distribute welcome packet to all new members
• Coordinate and develop bi-monthly e-newsletter and website updates
• Manage all email correspondence with members
• Represent Chapter at one Board event and Report to Regional Board.
Chapter Donations
Help us spread the knowledge locally and regionally. The Inland Chapter needs your help to support the events of the Inland Chapter. If you wish to donate time or money to our Chapter, please send any amount you wish to the Inland Chapter or contact any of the Inland Chapter's Field Offices to see how you can get involved in your area.
