Guild Member Expertise Survey
This page lets you find EcoBuilding Guild members who have expertise in specific areas. The skill levels are self reported by Guild members by having them complete a skills questionnaire.
The expertise areas are divided into the general categories listed below, such as "Energy Efficiency", which you can click on to expand or collapse while you browse them. If you click on an expertise area, such as "Air Sealing", you'll get a list of Guild members with research and/or implementation experience in that area.
For more information on the questionnaire, including an important disclaimer about how this information was collected and how it should be used, please read the detailed instructions.
The Expertise Survey is a way for Guild members to communicate their specific areas of expertise to the public. Members complete a questionnaire, and when you request a list of members with expertise in a given area, their answers are the basis for the list of members that's returned.
Guild members can select from the following three levels of expertise for each skill area:
NONE
This indicates that the member doesn't have significant skill in this area, or hasn't yet answered this question.
RESEARCHING
This indicates that the member has significant interest in this topic and has undertaken significant research in this area. It suggests more than casual knowledge, rather, a dedicated, sustained effort to become an expert in this area.
IMPLEMENTING
This indicates that the member has experience implementing the technology or practice in actual projects.
