This home, which has been part of this family for multiple generations, was in need of both and expansion to accommodate a growing family and updates to both the home systems and envelope. 2 bedrooms, an office and a bathroom were created in the new second story, the main floor was re-imagined for a new kitchen which flows out onto a deck that allows better connection to the lovely backyard. The siding was replaced in the process of the second story so the thermal envelope was improved with a new weather resistant barrier and proper air sealing. Also, the gas furnace was removed and replaced by mini-split heat pump units, delivering both energy efficient heat and air conditioning
