Lucas is a visionary building scientist who has spent two decades leading the charge towards healthy durable low carbon high performance. He has been honored to work on thousands of market leading buildings and is passionate about sharing what he has learned to help the market leapfrog to truly good buildings. He also believes the climate crisis can never be solved without first addressing the structural violence in our society.
It is time we move from BS to Building Science.
Lucas holds degrees in Physicochemical Biology from UCLA and EcoEntrepreneurship from UCSB plus is a certified Passive House professional and a BPI Building Analyst. Lucas is Co-owner at Vali Homes, where he enjoys collaborating with awesome architects, engineers, and builders to make their projects cost-effective, durable, healthy, deep green, and enjoyable. Prior to Vali Homes, he served as the Western Regional Manager at 475 High Performance Building Supply.
