SPEAKER APPLICATION TIMELINE:

  • August 30: 5pm Submission applications are DUE
  • September 19 (Saturday): Selection Jury meets to review applications
  • Late September:  Presentation applicants notified of standing
  • October 8 (Thursday): 5-6:30pm Mandatory Presenter Orientation Meeting
  • October 26 (Monday): 5pm PowerPoint presentation due to Slam Committee Chair (mandatory)
  • November 7: Day of event TBD, Panoramic Center in Pacific Tower – 1200 12th Ave South, Seattle, WA 98144

NW Ecobuilding Guild Membership Requirement(Required)
To be eligible to present, primary presenter's NW EcoBuilding Guild membership must be current and paid through December 2025. This includes non-industry individuals. See Membership options for organizations and individuals. For non-members: This is not required at time of proposal submission. If you are selected to present, membership must be initiated by August 30th, 2026.

Please note: If your presentation is selected, the title, summary, and headshot submitted here will be used on the conference website and promotional materials. Upon being selected you will have the opportunity to make updates to the title and summary. All proposed titles and summaries are subject to being modified by the Slam Committee for brevity or clarification.
Presentations should focus on telling the story of the green or sustainable theme of a member’s work and its implementation. This could be based on a project, building system, client, theory, site, business model, etc. Summaries submitted will be used in promotional materials, please provide a summary that is both descriptive and appealing to an audience. If it is a project, in the summary you must include the city in which the project is located. All presentations must be educational, member achievement recognition, or implementation case study in nature and as brand agnostic as possible. Presentations that are perceived by the selection jury to have the intent of advertising a specific product or vendor for the presenter's financial gain will be disqualified from selection.
Does your project include a social justice/equity component?(Required)
This will not exclude projects, rather its an additional consideration of the Jury/Committee.

Will the project be substantially complete by October 15, 2026?
If no, it will not preclude you from being selected, but projects that will be substantially completed may be prioritized.
