Welcome to the Northwest EcoBuilding Guild’s Technical Flash Cards Project. We believe that broad industry training is needed in order to meet our aggressive goals for energy retrofits, and the expansion of green building. To this end, we are building an open source, easy-to-use, interactive library of Technical Flash Cards (TFC’s) for building professionals.
Green building is a world of details and this is a library for details. If you are a guild member and have expertise, we can help you teach that technique, and with peer review, post it to the whole industry. We find that knowledge runs both ways – from the people doing the work every day as well as from the experts and we need both to move forward. The TFC’s are a set of reference cards that are created by working professionals, trades people, and industry leaders. These card have many uses, from educating to use at the jobsite, and detailing. Access can be through the website via a computer, smart phone, tablet or printing and laminating sets for jobsite reference. The seven main categories are generic to keep this project simple and Intuitive to use.
