What is the North Seattle Community College Green Real Estate Certification?
The Green Real Estate Certification program at NSCC is the first of its kind in the USA.
This program will allow you to be an educated professional in this fast growing industry of green and sustainable real estate sales and development.
A recent study conducted by GreenWorks Realty showed that green homes in King County sold more quickly and for more money during 2007-08 than their non-green counterparts. No wonder then that there’s a surge in new homes being built according to sustainability principles. NSCC’s Green Real Estate Certificate program can show you how it’s done. The 16½ credit program can be completed in as little as 4 quarters and includes some continuing education fulfillment and qualification towards becoming a certified Built Green Real Estate Professional. The 7 courses that make-up the program cover topics such as green building materials, energy efficient design and development, healthy buildings, indoor air quality, marketing and more. A wide variety of real estate professionals including sales people, appraisers, developers, architects, builders, investors and residential/commercial buyers and sellers will find this program valuable.
A leader in the college sustainability movement, NSCC offers cutting edge information about developing, building, and marketing green or sustainable real estate for real estate sales persons, appraisers, home inspectors, developers, builders, architects, investors, and residential and commercial buyers and sellers (homeowners too!).
All courses are approved for Washington State and federal licensing continuing education requirements and are taught by industry experts, many of which are Northwest EcoBuilding Guild members.
