What is the Salvage Lumber Warehouse?Earthwise Salvage, founded in 1991, made the ambitious move to expand and create the Salvage Lumber Warehouse with the help of an EPA grant awarded by the City of Seattle. Our operation is the first of its kind in King County; a drop-off point and retail location for salvaged and re-milled lumber from residential deconstruction, demolition, and remodeling projects, as well as scrap wood from new construction. Our purpose is to reduce landfill waste while providing high quality and reliable building materials for the local economy. The Salvage Lumber Warehouse is ready to serve as a central resource for contractors, builders, wood workers, hobbyists, and all lumber-curious community members and provide access to clean, de-nailed lumber that’s ready for reuse in everything from new construction to furniture and DIY projects. |
