Home Energy Score Policy (Eugene)

A Community Conversation:

Climate Policy Analyst, Danielle Klinkebiel, from City of Eugene, will discuss how the Home Energy Score can support informed home buying and energy-saving upgrades!

Developed by the Department of Energy, this tool provides an estimate of a home’s energy efficiency and recommendations for improvement. The City is considering a policy that would require disclosing the score when listing a home for sale and is gathering community input to help inform policy development.

​​​The Oregon Department of Energy has partnered with Earth Advantage on the implementation of the statewide program. Earth Advantage has a list of approved assessors who can conduct home energy score assessments.
