2025 Education Session Topics
Since 1993, the NW EcoBuilding Guild’s (NWEBG) Education Committee has been creating and hosting regular educational sessions that have empowered professionals and community members alike, to rethink how our built environment should be built. With a focus on practical solutions and progress, the NWEBG hosts sessions in-person and virtually, however they have been predominantly virtual since COVID-19 started. We’re looking to bring back in-person sessions again, so if you know of any space that would be willing to donate their space for one of our sessions, please email us at info@ecobuilding.org.
Every year our Education Committee creates a survey to find out what people want to learn about and then coordinates an annual retreat to plan the next year’s sessions. The NW EcoBuilding Guild Education Survey results are in! The topics include:
- Using Natural Materials
- Lighting for Health & Behavior
- Evaluating and Choosing Healthy & Sustainable Materials
- Biophilia & Permaculture (Your Total Home Inside & Out)
- Futurizing Your Home
- Sustainable Prefab Wall Systems
- Deconstruction & Salvaging Materials
- Addressing the Housing Crisis
- Energy Storage
Check back regularly for schedule updates and new details as we develop each topic’s session.
While we do tap into our existing network for speakers, we are always looking to include new voices and experts. If you are interested in exploring a potential opportunity to share your knowledge or refer a great contact, please email us at info@ecobuilding.org!
