Healthy Pre-Fab Construction
Join the Northwest EcoBuilding Guild for an engaging evening focused on two different prefabricated wall systems and their role in advancing high-performance building. Heather Mott of Collective Carpentry and Peter Jensen of Build with Nature will share insights from the field, including benefits, manufacturing processes, construction techniques, and on-site installation considerations. Learn how prefab wall assemblies can streamline construction, improve energy performance, and reduce environmental impact, and improve indoor heath. Whether you’re a builder, designer, or sustainability advocate, this session will offer valuable inspiration for your next project.
Heather Mott – Director of Architecture At Collective Carpentry (Seattle, WA)

Heather is their in-house designer and Certified Passive House Consultant. She creates pre-designed plans, integrates the Collective Building System into custom designs, runs energy model analyses, and occasionally brings her muscle to panel installs.
With a passion for buildings that promote the health of the occupant and the environment, Heather is a Passive House devotee. She believes that homes built with an understanding of thermodynamics are the most livable, durable, and beautiful.
Peter Jensen – CEO of Build with Nature and North American Representative of the EcoCocon prefab Strawbale panels.

Peter is a Danish designer and building consultant with over 20 years of experience in natural building. He has traveled the world, leading various humanitarian projects and constructing sustainable homes, schools, and community buildings.
In 2019, Peter built the first EcoCocon house in the U.S. and has since partnered with EcoCocon to expand its presence. His passion is to establish numerous successful EcoCocon straw panel projects across the country and pave the way for the first EcoCocon production line in the U.S.
