Grace Huang
Seattle, WA
Grace Huang is a licensed architect and owner of ming | architecture and design, specializing in sustainable and healthy building practices and aging-in-place design. She has been in the design and construction industry since the early 1990’s, beginning her professional career in Chicago, where she spent many years in a hard hat and boots, and arriving in Seattle in 2000.
Grace found a family of kindred spirits at the Guild and has been an active member since 2002. She brings extensive non-profit and volunteer experience to the Board – ranging from environmental education to community engagement, in addition to green building. Her passion for preserving the natural environment fuels her commitment to sustainable building. In her free time, she can be found playing outdoors whenever possible – skiing, cycling, hiking, gardening – and practicing aikido.
Often challenging the status quo and finding herself the bridge between seemingly different worlds, Grace believes that we all share so much more in common than we do in differences, and the effort to bridge the gap is worth it. She prefers the Both/And approach to life over Either/Or – it’s way more fun!
