Join NW EcoBuilding Guild for its first in-person education session of 2025!
We’re happy to announce that we’ve partnered with South Seattle College to host this event.
In this session about lighting design for health we’ll cover the following topics:
- Health & emotional well-being issues
- Seasonal issues
- Circadian rhythm
- Day lighting
- Affordability
- EMFs (quick overview)
Our speakers for this session include Nathanael Washam from Luminous NW and Eric Strandburg from Lighting Design Lab. They’ll teach us how to avoid glare, discuss whether a skylight can be a bad idea, address how lighting may affect behavior, share various lighting control options, help us understand what fixtures to use and when, and cover circadian lighting to support our health indoors.
